  • Employment Verification

    CI’s EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION is a valuable inquiry that provides validation of the subject’s employment including dates, salary, position, eligibility for rehire and reason for leaving.  CI’s EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION starts with the subject’s supervisor or other high level verification source and is asked a series of questions about the subject.

     

    As part of the interview, the subject’s supervisor is also asked if they have any specific comments regarding the applicant.   To obtain more detailed information about a subject's character and work style, CI's reference verification service is another great source.

     

    CI’s EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION is completely customizable.  CI clients can choose to alter the standard interview and incorporate changes specific to their organization or industry.

     

  • Education Verification

    CI’s EDUCATION verification assists in determining if an applicant meets the qualifications required of a position and its corresponding job description.  Many employers verify the highest level of education completed for all applicants, including high school diploma verification, if applicable.

     

    CI’s EDUCATION report provides a side-by-side comparison of applicant supplied data to verified data.  Data elements compared include:

     

    • degree type
    • field of study
    • GPA
    • start date
    • stop date
    • graduation date
    • reason for leaving

     

    Education is often the most misrepresented piece of information by applicants on a resume.  This necessitates that a thorough background investigation include an EDUCATION verification.

  • Reference Verification

    CI's professional REFERENCE is a detailed, comprehensive interview conducted with the subject's  references.  Former supervisors, former co-workers or friends who provide information about your applicant are somewhat more subjective than normal performance questions included on an employment verification.  Thus, a REFERENCE check gives the client information beyond the facts of employment. It provides insight into performance, attitude and interpersonal skills and important feedback for determining whether the subject is compatible with your work environment.

     

    We prefer to interview business rather than personal references, as they are in closer contact with the applicant and can usually comment with accuracy on the ability, experience and background in which you are interested.

     

    The information acquired includes character traits and/or habits, strengths and/or weaknesses, and whether or not the reference would recommend the applicant for employment.  In addition, details of the reference's relationship with the applicant are provided, including how long they have been acquainted and the type of relationship they have/had.  In all, the interview consists of 10 well-tailored questions which are customizable at the client's request, and a scale interview which quantifies the subject's abilities numerically.

     

  • Professional License

    Due to the high volume of false licensing information on job applications, CI's Professional License Inquiry is recommended for employers in all industries which require employees to be certified and licensed (health care, education, security and construction contracting are just a few), as well as for any employer who seeks honest, trustworthy applicants.

     

    CI will inform you if your applicant has been issued a license, the type of license, whether or not the license is currently valid and the date, state and licensing authority that issued it. In addition, if available, any disciplinary action taken by the licensing board will be documented.  CI presents this information in an easy to read user-friendly format. The availability of historical licensing information varies by state and licensing agency.
